The MARS 16025 220V Potential Relay is used to monitor and control power circuits. This relay monitors two power circuits or load buses. The relay output contacts are normally open magnetic coils that can be energized to close the contacts and then remain closed until reset by a signal received from the associated status inputs.

The MARS 16025 potential relay is designed for switching amp. resistive loads with voltage above 220VAC and below 150VDC. The relay functions as normally open or normally closed depending on the load to be controlled. It is ideal for controlling center-off or dual contact switches directly from high voltage power lines—especially in the metal rolling mill and other steel processing industries, coal mines, pulp manufacturers, power plants, utility companies and more.

The MARS 16025 general purpose relay can operate a load directly or be used in switching mode. When used as a potential relay, the MARS 16025 can switch loads up to 1000 W at 230/240 V ac and / or 415/480 V dc. In switching mode the operating voltage is limited to 72 V ac or 60 V dc and the load power is limited to 3000 W.

MARS 16025 relay is a potential relay device. A potential relay compares voltage and opens its contacts when a set potential, or voltage, is reached at one terminal. It can also be designed to close contacts upon reaching a given potential on one terminal. Potential relays may be constructed with a direct snap-in mounting on the DIN rail or with screw terminals for attachment to other equipment.

The Mars 16025 is a wide band potential relay. It is basically a switch in which the arc controlling is performed by the current potential difference between the primary winding and the reference coil. The contacts can be normally closed (NO), or normally open (NC) depending on the application.

The MARS 16025 Relay can be used in Loadcenter, Voltage Regulator, UPS and other similar applications.
