High quality item,semi custom made. It goes into that hole in the side of your printer to extend the cable. I have an older Brother MFC-J410DW printer that has the hole availble under the handle. Some people reported difficulty installing it, but it is very simple to do, no spade lugs are needed, just screw it in with two screws and it should be good to go. As other reviewers here said, mine did not work at first, but after another quick email...its all fine now! I am so glad I read the reviews before purchasing this product.
