Nordyne's 626429R 120-170F AUTO Limit Switch is an automatic thermostat that controls the temperature of your heating or cooling system. These limit switches are designed to only allow the system to go on or off when the room reaches a certain temperature, helping you save energy by not using your AC or heat when it is not needed.

The AUTO Limit Switch is factory set in the open position. 120-170°F can be selected by plugging in the LBK2 Low Burn Kit using the tools included with your gas furnace. The LBK2 installs at the top of the draft hood assembly and includes a red hood switch housing that replaces the standard 2-speed switch housing on your 2-speed gas furnace.

The 120/170F AUTO HP Mechanical Limit Switch from Nordyne is designed for use on hydronic heating or cooling systems, and is a single-pole/dual-throw switch. Used in a boiler or chiller system, this switch is mounted on the high point of the system to keep it cool, and activates at 120F. This 160F temperature limit switch can also be used to trip a compressor or shutting off cooling tower pumps.

Set your limit switch to turn on the blower automatically when the temperature reaches 120°F and turn off at 170°F. The 626429R 5-280F/3.2-170F air blower works with the following Nordyne Gas/Oil furnaces:

Make an input voltage selection with the AUTO switch and your normal external controls. When a temperature increase is sensed, the fan relay activates and the system starts up. As the temperature approaches 160F, the slow-start relay kicks in and the speed gradually increases to a maximum of 170F. When temperature is reduced within this range, the slow-start factor is cleared by the RELAY indicator lamp, operator control or by reaching 52°C on contactors. Automatic restart functions allow fan to operate for two minutes after power is interrupted.
