Helicoil pipe thread inserts give superior corrosion protection and sealing using an internally threaded sleeve and externally threaded insert. They enable repair of corroded, stripped or damaged threads in seconds.

Helicoil pipe thread inserts in ISO 6431 and ANSI B1.20.1 metallurgical class "B" are the strongest pipe thread repair device available today. They are intended for the repair of threaded steel pipes in situations where tensile, flexural and fatigue strengths have been compromised. Made of hardened steel, the heli-coil thread insert is manufactured to exacting standards. Helicoil inserts are used to repair stripped threads on pressed and rolled steel, carbon, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper pipe.

Inserts provide internal pipe threads at a joint. Helicoil inserts usually require no pre-drilling and no special tools, making them very simple to install. The threads of the insert are formed by the action of tightening the installed Helicoil into the drilled hole for a perfect fit, every time.

Helicoil is the original threaded insert. Used in hardened casing and tubing for permanent thread repair or new assembly, Helicoil can be driven into a blank to form a new finished end, or a pre-assembled Helicoil plug can be driven into an existing hole.

The HEL327-2 provides the same performance benefits as a Heli-Coil, but is designed for installation into an existing pipe. The HEL327-2 can also be installed using standard tap and die tools. Two styles of thread inserts (pipe and stud) assure proper application.
