Create A New AccountECM Motor
The ECM Motor is a permanent split capacitor (PFC) motor that uses a permanent magnet rotor and provides optimal speed control regardless of load changes. This AC induction motor is housed in an injection molded plastic enclosure and has Brass terminals for field connections. The heat sink design provides low operating temperature as well as enhanced switching performance.
The ECM motor has advanced electronics to monitor operating conditions and adjust itself. Efficient power allows you to save 47% on heating bills, as compared to previous models
ECM motors, also known as Energy Conserving Motors use a moveable iron core and permanent magnets which rotate at varying speeds over the rotation period to perform an average torque on the motor. This smooth motion of the motor reduces harmonic vibrations and electrical noise which can cause unnecessary wear on fans, belts, pulleys and other equipment which can shorten product life.
ECM (Eco-Mode) motors can adjust speed and torque in response to changes in operating conditions to provide the right amount of power at the right time. In other words, ECM motors are designed for comfort and energy efficiency.
The new ECM motor allows you to electronically monitor, control, and maintain your air conditioner and heating system. This means you can now have the comfort you want without the hassle of maintaining your own system.
Single Phase Speed Regulated ECM Motor, 120 Volt, 1/5 HP, 900 RPM, BFPO Approved
The Energy Conserving Motor technology in the RHEEM RTE 13-19-8 heating and cooling system can help you SAVE MONEY on your utility bills. These Split Systems feature a ECM motor that will automatically regulate motor speed to match current demand, not only reducing energy consumption but also extending the life of the motor.
