SPST N/C Non-Resettable Limit
The SPST N/C Non-Resettable Limit Switch has an adjustable preset limit for SPDT and DPDT toggle switches, horn buttons, indexing switches, and many other electrical devices that require a non-resettable speed control switch. This 4A single pole contactor has an adjustable preset limit that can be used to control a wide variety of AC applications. It also features an external mounting bracket for convenient installation.
Rheem is proud to present our exclusive SPST N/C Non-Resettable Limit package. This addition allows you to safely shut off water to your tankless water heater whenever needed, thus stopping the hot water supply.
Rheem heat pumps are among the most reliable in the industry. This innovative new feature, the SPST N/C Non-Resettable Limit (SRNRL), is simple to install and maintain and protects customers with no tools required. The innovative design replaces the usual hard to replace limit switch, making it easier for customers to convert their systems to SRNRL. The system uses positive temperature feedback to detect an external rise in temperature or low internal fluid pressure and virtually extinguishes the flame and shuts down the unit. Thereafter when the crisis is over, it self-resets automatically .

This limit control is for modifying the temperature setpoint of an automatic heating or cooling system to prevent damage to a unit's compressor, or meltdowns for heating systems. It utilizes a single pole dual throw (SPDT) microswitch. The SPDT microswitch is used to open the appropriate circuit when the temperature rises above a preset level. Once this happens, power to the compressor will be switched OFF, until the control is reset by manually rotating it counter-clockwise.
