RXCT-CHC - Ruud Expansion Valve Kit (TXV)

The RXCT-CHC Rheem expansion valve kit (TXV) is a two-piece sleeve that is used for replacement of the internal parts of a Ruud two-piece refrigerant line set. The RXCT-CHC will also work with other refrigerants. It will connect to most Rheem, Ruud or Trane two piece condensers.  The Dual Temperature TXV system provides multiple outlet temperature settings by using an electrically controlled valve that is installed in the liquid line downstream of the condensing unit. The system should use a reciprocating compressor with enough capacity to run continuously

The Rheem RXCT-CHC Expansion Valve Kit (TXV) is a direct replacement for the factory installed expansion valve in Ruud heat pump water heaters that utilize expansion valves manufactured by Rheem.

Expansion Valve Kits include an expansion valve that controls the volume of refrigerant in your Ruud heating and cooling system, and a copper line saddle that allows you to connect it to the refrigerant lines. It utilizes a TXV-type thermodynamic expansion device to modulate the rate of flow of refrigeration medium. You have access to both cooling and heating capabilities without having to switch valves.
