The BASO SAFETY VALVE is used to manually relieve excess pressure in the Vulcan Boiler or any other steam boiler by venting through the safety valve.

The BASO Safety Valve is a precision instrument which is used to maintain the controlled operation of the Vulcan automatic electric welding machine.

The BASO is an essential part of the Vulcan Fire Suppression System. It should be replaced by Hilti upon failure of visual inspection or periodic maintenance. The BASO is designed to protect the interior of the building from fire until the fire department arrives. When installed, it will not damage the sensitive components of your Vulcan system and does not need to be manually set.

The BASO Pressure Relief Valve is used to isolate the boiler from the main steam supply or relief diaphragm during refurbishing/repairing of components. The valve is located on the piping between the main steam inlet and the boiler, as close to the boiler as possible.
