M490DEP DELAYED EGRESS SINGLE MAG LOCK

Schlage's M490DEP is a delayed egress single mag lock that electronically locks out inside personnel before the door is opened and automatically re-locks after it has been released. Features include LED indicators to clearly communicate any problems and auto lock function that applies holding force to the lock until released with a key from outside. Also includes built-in loop power connections for easy field wiring, and field selectable code switch.

The M490DEP is a 2-mag lock designed for electronic access control. It features double door, 1,500 lbs. holding force per magnet, and delayed egress features.

The M490DEP is designed for applications where the lock is not used during normal ingress and egress. A time delay feature is available that allows you to delay the release of lock until a pre-selected period of time (in one-second increments) after all associated doors are closed. In cases where the lock is not used as a security device, it may infrequently be engaged and released by temporary or seasonal traffic, i.e., delivery, emergency services, etc. For such uses, it is recommended to set the time delay at 30 seconds or less to avoid unnecessary wear on the lock mechanism and possible malfunction

The M490DEP is a double lock featuring Schlage's new Electromagnet technology that allows users time to exit a premises before securing the single or double door by means of either a manual or auto-closing function. Lock is suitable for use with a variety of door types, including wooden, metal (non-ferrous), and steel doors.
