A dual temperature control device that is designed for use on a heating and/or cooling system having air or liquid circulation. This device will direct supply air to the space being conditioned or remove excess heat from that space and return it to the building. This unit is used with electrically operated heating and cooling equipment, such as electric resistance heaters, electric motors, fan motors, and so forth. This thermostat consists of a sealed pneumatic pressure system in which temperature is sensed by a bimetal coil.

Direct acting pneumatic thermostats control heat tracing, steam, hot water, chilled water systems and various combinations of these. The direct acting thermostat is used when the application requires a call for heat current flow to be initiated by the sensing element in response to a temperature of the fluid entering the device.
