The 6800 discharge air sensor is engineered to plug into a Maxitrol main controller where it will measure the temperature of the air blown over an evaporator coil to determine how hard to run the fan motor. When ambient air is warmer than 80F, it will signal the fan motor to slow down if needed, and when below 40F it will signal the fan motor to spin faster. The sensor features an 80-140 degree F temperature range, an axial probe for close control of air stream

The Maxitrol 6800 Discharge Air Temperature Sensor is a medium-range sensor with an 80F/26.6C max. temperature range. It has a fixed 10 turn potentiometer interface and is shrink-wrapped for easy mounting to the air discharge duct of the heating system. Its excellent long-term stability, tight temperature tolerance, and quick calibration make it ideal for building HVAC applications.

The Maxitrol 6800 is a discharge air temperature probe for industrial furnaces to monitor stack gas temperature during start-up. The Maxitrol 6800 Discharge Air Temperature Sensor comes in a standard length of 40 inches, and has a temperature range of 40°F to 80°F.

Second, the discharge air sensor measures temperature and pressure of the gas stream leaving your low side manifold and is used to calculate discharge air temperature for  calculation of BTUs produced. This discharge air sensor must be compatible with our IV-1700 Air Combustion Analyzer.

The Maxitrol 6800D has an operating range of 40 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and is used for temperatures above 40 degrees Fahrenheit to accurately measure discharge air temperature.
