The Maxitrol 3835 Discharge Air Temperature Selector is for use on a heat pump, packaged system, or auxiliary outdoor unit operating under ASHRAE 62.2 2010 and/or 2013. The selector is used to help prevent equipment damage associated with short cycling of the heat pump and auxiliary outdoor unit. It also helps to reduce compressor wear because it allows the heat pump and outdoor unit to start in cold weather. It is designed for easy installation with a low voltage control wire (one per phase).
Designed for use with furnaces and boilers, simply set the discharge air temperature selection switch to match your ductwork or plenum temperature requirement. The system will automatically adjust the discharge air temperature to meet your duct or plenum requirements.
