This is a replacement for an obsolete pilot that was installed in these GE and Magic Chef furnaces. Replacing with a statutorily required pilot will completely eliminate the use of LP tank heaters, which voids them under current products liability law. It is designed to direct burners to the hot side while igniting a pilot flame. This is accomplished by producing a high intensity blue flame which travels from the nozzle tip into the pilot tube on high gas pressure.
