SNAP DISC FAN OR LIMIT 110/150F
These WHITE-RODGERS 5098 thermostats are designed specifically for convenience stores, bakeries, restaurants and other food preparation environments -- features include SNAP DISC FAN or LIMIT 110/150F to quickly convert from a cut-out device to a high limit control with the turn of an Allen wrench
These thermostats in the White-Rodgers 5098 Series are made with a pair of SNAP DISCS, which are quick acting control devices that cause the element to open at a given temperature. They can be used as a gravity thermostat for proportional control, or as an on-off switch with boiler temperatures below 180F. This thermostat is an ON-OFF ELECTRIC with SNAP DISC FAN or LIMIT 110/150F as called out in the product description.
The White-Rodgers 5098 Closed-Wired Thermostats is for use with electric baseboard heat and heat pump systems. FEATURES INCLUDE: Temperature range between 90 and 150 degrees Fahrenheit, Limit switch over-travel 10.6 degrees F (limit switch will not stop on rise), Snap disc fan or limit (limit only available through Thermostat Electronics, Inc.), Polymeric thermoplastic housing, Steel lead wires with protective wire sheathing, UL listed
Snap disc thermostats 110F in 150F cut-out open on rise, individual box terminals, 10 pieces per box.
The 5098 Series Thermostats are totally enclosed, complete microprocessor-based controls with color-coded buttons. They include a solid-state 24-volt transformer, snap disc fan or limit switch option and a rating of 11/32" (8mm) conduit through 4" (102mm) conduit. This thermostat is designed with small industrial applications in mind where every cubic inch counts. The 5098 is designed to require a minimum amount of space while providing an extraordinarily powerful control.
Our new 5098 Thermostats work in place of older 6251, 6252 and 6254 models. These thermostats feature a pre-printed "snap disc" to prevent over-ride by the snap disc that is used to set temperature limits. The 5098 snaps into the same base as the old thermostats, so if it's the right size it will fit. The 110°/150°F cutout open on rise models fit between the capillary tube and the energizing coil. Their main application is to limit temperature rise when heating larger areas like attics, where normal time-delay controls
The model 5098 controls auxiliary heating and/or cooling equipment. The snap disc is a positive action device which will not allow temperatures above 150F to be selected. It has a maximum temperature setting of 110F which may be selected in conjunction with the snap disc. No provisions for air conditioning are included.
