RHEEM 171071 - TXV Expansion Valve w/Bleed Port valve in Gray Brass, 10-2/3" long, 20" to 24-1/2" inlet and outlet pipe diameter, 2" NPT on some models. This assembly includes the valve and bleed port for easy installation .

The RHEEM Series Protech - Expansion Valve (TXV) with bleed port is designed specifically for use with the RHEEM Series RVA, RPV and RSV series gas furnace and boiler.

This product is an expansion valve that fits Rheem heat pumps and Rheem/Ruud gas furnaces. The TXV offers both warm and cool positions, as well as a bleed port for cleaning the TXV.

Rheem's TXV Valve is a direct replacement for many expansion valve models. This valve is designed for Rheem, Ruud, Daikin and select White-Rodgers heat pumps and air conditioners. The attached bleed port may be used to manually clear the refrigerant system at any point to prevent excessive build up of refrigerant within the system.

To maintain peak efficiency, plumbing heating, cooling and hot water systems need to be serviced periodically per National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) standards. The Expansion Valve with Bleed Port is used as part of the Recirculating Loop System in a heat pump water heater or in an air conditioning system.
