The Expansion Valve (TXV) w/Bleed Port is designed to add an expansion device to the existing gas supply system. It is a three-way, large diaphragm, vacuum actuated valve that provides precise metering of gas flow and accurate temperature control in both heating and cooling applications. It can be used in radiant tube furnaces, water chillers, heat pumps for pool and spas, refrigerators and freezers, and air conditioners.

Rheem 171087 / Protech expansion valve (TXV) w/bleed port kit comes with a pre-assembled expansion valve, PVC union, and a bleed port. This expansion valve is a factory assembled 2 way gas control that has the ability to operate at either the high or low limit position. This expansion valve (TXV) may be installed in gas valves with 1" gas seat sizes and is constructed with stainless steel.

This expansion valve (TXV) with bleed port fits all Rheem commercial units and residential open coil water heaters.
