The DuAquastat is a dual Aquastat controller especially designed for low leakage, closed-loop applications. It can be configured to control up to two heating or cooling units (see below). The unique and patented design of the DuAquastat utilizes a differential pressure transducer in place of conventional solenoids.

The Aquastat Temperature Control Difference

The Honeywell 2207 is a Dual Aquastat controller for high and low temperature control of water heaters, furnace or boiler applications. Built-in relays provide the switching mechanism for a wide range of loads. This controller can be wired to open contactors or contact closure devices.

The Honeywell 71UA2 is a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) switch that controls two thermostats on the same lead wire. With 1-1/2" NPT thread connections, it is suitable for a wide variety of boiler applications. Made with platinum contacts, this precision switch operates over a wide range of voltages and currents to give you ultimate flexibility in your water heating system design.

The Honeywell 2207A Aquastat Controller is a constant-temp controller which senses the temperature of the water. It has an adjustable thermostat switch which can be switched from high to low temperature control, and includes a 5ft probe with 1/2" male NPT thread. The 2207A has a lighted pilot lamp and easy-to-adjust knob. The unit measures 1.8" x 4.4" x 8.7".

The Aquastat is used to control process temperatures of most heating and cooling equipment. It is used in heaters, boilers, air conditioning systems, incubators, food service equipment, kilns and laboratory ovens. The basic principle of an automatic temperature controller is that a temperature sensing device monitors the process temperature. The controller compares this to a preset control value and drives or modulates the control valve accordingly. A pressure switch assures the proper operating sequence. The controller maintains by switching a heater or cooler on or off. Its accuracy and repeatability depend upon its design as well as manufacture.
