The Carrier 300122 Bryant Payne Flame Sensor J-Pilot, part of the Carrier J-Pilot. This is a one piece flame sensor designed for use with all type pilot assemblies including quick vent and automatic. The j-pilot helps balance ventilation and energy savings by firing your gas furnace's burner only when needed.

The Carrier Payne J-Pilot flame sensor is ideal for residential stoves, heaters and fireplaces. This flame sensor uses a thermocouple to detect heat and flames from a pilot light or other heat sources in an open, undercover fire area. Adjustable time delay from 1 to 30 minutes.

Built by Carrier, the world leader in indoor comfort, the Bryant Payne Flame Sensor uses infrared technology to sense and extinguish flames in your firebox. Included is a J-Pilot control box that senses flame status via two sensor wires connected to the flame sensor unit. When installed properly, your system provides protection from both slow smoldering fires and sudden intense heat sources. Because the sensors are hard-wired into the system, they are not affected by power or circuit breaker cycles. This ensures that you have continuous protection from hidden heating sources such as hotplate burners and electric skillets.

Protect your home from fireplace and wood stove fires with the Carrier Flame Sensor. This economical, infrared oven controller senses flame intensity when coupled with a Bryant Payne J-Pilot, and turns off the pilot light to prevent over-fireing.

This flame sensor allows you to connect your Bryant Payne furnace or boiler to the Carrier J-Pilot thermostat of a connected HVAC system (sold separately).  Connect the flame sensor without additional wiring, and confirm that automatic modulating operation is functioning properly.
