The RHEEM AP12574G-1 is a Temp&Pressure Relief Valve for gas furnaces and heaters. It operates at temperatures as high as 140 degrees Fahrenheit and pressure up to 12.5 in. w.c. Includes a factory-installed filter screen for better efficiency, longer life, and energy cost savings. Available to fit 4/8 and 6 inch flues.

The Temp&Pressure Relief Valve is a compatible replacement part for Rheem and Ruud equipment. When used on a gas or oil furnace, it helps protect against system damage by shutting off natural gas flow in case of pressure buildup or when ambient temperature exceeds approximately 105 F. Too much pressure can damage internal furnace components. Too high of an ambient temperature can also cause condensation problems inside your heating equipment.

The AP12574G-1 Temp&Pressure Relief Valve is used on RHEEM and some Ruud water heater models. This water heater accessory controls temperature to help prevent scalding and assists in the heating process by releasing hot water. Replace as needed after 7 years of normal use. The AP12574G-1 requires a discharge hose, which is sold separately.

Our Temp and Pressure Relief Valve is designed to prevent system pressure from exceeding the set point pressure. It has a manual reset spring for fail safe function and is in an aluminum body construction for corrosion resistance. The internal seat is PTFE with stainless steel plug, stem, tri-metal washer and o-ring. The valve uses a 1/8" FPT inlet and outlet and is UL listed as a safety device.
