The 8872 Temperature Slave Stage Module is a thermoelectric device that contains two optimally configured thermoelectric stages, which can be connected to an appropriate load to provide a controlled temperature output. These modules are designed for use in the HVAC industry for maintaining steady temperatures in data centers, hospitals, factory floors and other temperature sensitive environments where ambient temperatures fluctuate widely throughout the day.

The 8872 Temperature Slave Stage Module is a dual-scale temperature sensor that provides a TTL output. It measures the temperature with an accuracy of ±1.0 °F (±0.5 °C) from -30 to 130 °F (-34 to 54 °C). The slave stage module can be connected directly to any digital input channel of a Johnson Controls building automation system.
