The 24 to 277VAC, 16A Johnson Controls A28AA-4C Mechanical Thermostat is a two stage temperature control that can be used as a direct replacement for most three wire single stage stat settings. Built with rugged components and high quality actuator, this thermostat is designed for long lasting performance. It features oversized terminals and a 15 foot cable for easy installation. The DIP switches allow you to program the set / reset points from 15° to 60°F.

The A28AA has a special time delay feature that reduces demand on electrical service and extends compressor life. Stage 1 starts the heat pump at temperatures between 45 degrees F and 75 degrees F for the desired temperature setpoint. Stage 2 takes over when the temperature falls below 45 to 55 degrees F for energy savings operation.
