The pneumatic positioner (less spring and mount) is used to continuously position and hold an electric damper in a set position. The MP8x system provides precise automatic roof control for frame or curtain walls, skylights and solar tandem skylights, allowing the operator to monitor and automate the building envelope for energy efficiency.

The Johnson Controls 57323 Pneumatic Positioner for MP8X is a replacement positioner which can be used to replace/repair the positioner on the Johnson Control's MP8X and the Thomas and Betts (T&B) 8K and 8H series pneumatic actuator. This positioner has been designed as a replacement for those original equipment positioners, however it is an upgraded product with improved protection against dirt ingress and damage due to external impacts. The 57323 is a pneumatic positioner that is typically used with a 9" to 24" series gas spring. The 57323 can be used as a replacement positioner for the MP8X. The MP8X positioner can also be used as a replacement as it includes a pneumatic positioner and the spring as well as the mount.

Designed to be installed in place of the standard air springs, this positioner automatically adjusts the amount of force that the tray applies to the horizontal platform. With an adjustable air pressure range of 0–60 psi, this product is compatible with MP8X vans only.

This kit is designed to replace the stock MP8X positioning kit with an air-powered model. It comes with everything that you need including air pump, hose, and fittings. This kit will not work on the MP8X gas grill models (57321,57322,57323).
