Flame Sensor

The Flame Sensor is a unique patented flame detection device, monitoring the burner flame during operation. It provides the thermostat with a differential sensing signal when flame is present or absent, enabling increased control accuracy, fast burner start-up, and reduced energy costs.

The Flame Sensor allows the consumer to see if the flame is present on their gas water heater.

The Flame Sensor is a flame failure device for gas water heaters that shuts off the gas supply in the event of a flame failure. This safety device also includes PTC protection to reduce risk of ignition from stray electric arcs.
