The Carrier Flame Sensor is designed to detect and shut off gas flow to the burners if a pilot light goes out.

The Carrier Flame Sensor fits the LH680534 Module and is used to detect flame.

The Carrier Flame Sensor accurately measures flame and smoke temperatures in gas furnaces like no other sensor can. The Flame Sensor is attached to the gasket on the burner box near each flame. This allows it to detect flame temperature and adjust the speed or turn off certain burners. If a flame does not reach the detector's threshold temperature, it triggers a relay to stop that burner from operating until the flame grows larger or makes its way over to the sensor.
